THE DEAL
Following its financing of the purchase
of Powell Duffryn Plc in November 2000,
NPIL announced plans to dispose of the
Group's engineering interests.
In June 2001, JiP Kugleventiler A/S was
sold to Danfoss, the Danish industrial
conglomerate.
THE NPIL DIFFERENCE
The disposal was run solely by NPIL, in
conjunction with the local management
of the intermediate parent company.
THE BUSINESS
JiP is a specialist engineering company
serving the niche area of high
performance 15-500 millimetre ball valves
for district heating networks. It enjoys
high market share in its market sector and
