THE DEAL Following its November 2000 financing of the purchase of Powell Duffryn Plc, NPIL announced plans to dispose of the Group's engineering interests. In July 2001 NPIL announced the £92 million disposal of the Geesink Norba Group to US-based Oshkosh Truck Corporation (NASDAQ:OTRKB). THE NPIL DIFFERENCE NPIL brought the management teams and advisers together and worked with them to develop, plan and execute the disposal. We played a central role in selecting the disposal strategies, overseeing the management of the process, and supporting final negotiations to completion. THE BUSINESS Geesink is a leading European manufacturer of refuse collection vehicles, mobile and stationary compactors and transfer stations. The company is headquartered in Emmeloord in the Netherlands.
